The Church of Corpus Christi is popularly known as 'Santuario della Santa' because it preserves the incorrupt body of St. Catherine de' Vigri, who founded the first monastery of Poor Clares at Bologna. The building, constructed between 1477 and 1480, is notable for its fine façade decorated with elegant patterns in unglazed terra cotta made by Sperandio da Mantova (Sperandio Savelli).
