Listed as an historical monument, 1840. It was founded by the Duke of Brittany, Jean IV, and carried out by his son John V (1399 -1442), who inaugurated it in 1423, at which time it was elevated to a collegiate church. In 1427, Pope Martin V elevated Our Lady of Folgo\u00EBt to the rank of basilica minor. Alain de Co\u00EBtivy, an important patron and archbishop, is probably depicted beneath the elaborate stone rood screen; he contributed to the construction of the church.
