The present church replaced two earlier churches, destroyed in the 14th century and dates from about 1550-1699. The exterior walls have a checkerboard or chevron pattern formed by white Caen stone and dark flint. It is a listed historic monument since 1840. The interior vaults have hanging pendants at their apex in Flamboyant style; one measures 3.80 m long. The main portal is worked in Renaissance style with vine leaves, grapes, thistle leaves and shells representing the pilgrims of Saint James. The church faces the harbor and has many sea motifs in the interior.
