The Chapel of St. Mary was part of the Visitation monastery, founded 1610, whose buildings were built from 1623 to 1634; only the chapel is extant. Duchess Louise-Marie Gonzaga, future queen of Poland, laid the foundation stone for the chapel in June 1639. The work was completed in 1649. Classified as a historic monument in 1887. The building has a simple volume and has a Baroque facade, unique in Nivernais. The altarpiece was made in 1641 by sculptor Claude Collignon.
