Eglise Notre-Dame d'Audrieu: Overall view

Built from the 12th to the 15th centuries; probably founded by the abbey of La Trinite at Vendome. The Romanesque transept dates from the 12th century, the choir from the late 13th or early 14th century, and the large archways in the nave side aisles from the 14th and 15th centuries. The lantern tower was never completed. A small apse (apsidiole) once occupied the east side. Only the northern apsidiole is preserved, with a stone conical (actually polygonal) roof. Classified as a historic monument in 1862.
