Reconstructed and relocated a short distance in 1861; demolished August 1944 and rebuilt. The Rouen public fountains were fed from five sources which included cisterns fed by springs, rivers and ponds. This public fountain was fed by the spring known as Gaalor and a cistern on Rue Pouchet that was 13 m underground.
