Church was established about 1240 and rebuilt in the 15th century as a three-aisled church. The church interior contains rich ornamentation (mostly Baroque) and art due to generous donations by the Dukes of Burgundy, including an intricately carved wooden pulpit, with figures at the base representing the continents.
