The church is dedicated to the Saint Martin of Tours and was built between 1390 and 1466. The campanile with 49 bells dates from 1439. The top wooden spire was restored after being burned in 1601. The church is a hall church with three aisles. There is a unique sacrament tower in the nave (a type of tabernacle in the form of a tower), 6.5 m high, which dates from 1585 by Hendrik Mauris of Antwerp.
