The very central feature of this small mountain village is this impressive church that dates from the late 12th century. It is surrounded by a crenelated wall that was built in the 14th century to defend it from attack. The round church was built by the Knights of St. John of Jerusalem (Templars) and is steeped in history as a frontier point in the struggles between France and Spain.
