This 16th century house was reconstructed after the war.\u000a\u000aIn 1241 there was a fire in the city which destroyed many of the wooden buildings. The wooden house in the Rijselsestraat is a reconstruction of a 16th century house. At the beginning of the 19th century Ypres had more than 90 wooden houses.
