ESG data and ratings providers play a crucial role in corporate discourse, with over 160 providers and 600 ESG products globally by 2020. Despite the growth of the ESG market, a lack of reliable ESG data hinders broader adoption of ESG practices. This perception of inadequacy is partly due to the significant variance among ESG assessments, which has been widely reported.
