Measuring the Unmeasurable: An Accathon—Accounting Hackathon to Unpack Corporate Social Performance

Firms' activities significantly impact sustainable development, necessitating better sustainability accounting tools. Recent crises, such as COVID-19 and social washing scandals, have amplified the urgency to measure corporate social performance. This project aims to refine the "S" in ESG by critically reviewing existing frameworks, hosting an "Accathon" to co-develop solutions, and formulating a new measurement framework. The ultimate goal is to enhance transparency, accountability, and sustainability in corporate reporting.
