Post-Hurricane Homeowner Recovery Survey Code Book (Les Cayes, Haiti)

Homeowner-driven structural mitigation practices in post-disaster settings are studied using a new survey instrument, the Post-Hurricane Homeowner Recovery Survey, and corresponding variables. This survey was implemented in Les Cayes, Haiti following Hurricane Matthew (2016). This code book details the coding of each index based on the scoring of each component of the home, using responses to identified survey questions, as well as a set of independent variables and controls.
