Provides a history of immigration law in the United States, beginning in the late 1800s and continuing to present day. Explains the prevalence of anti-immigrant sentiment in the US and the implications of SB 1070, Arizona\u2019s anti-immigrant bill and similar bills in other states that followed. Finds a negative impact on the economy and social relationships and an increased fear of law enforcement in immigrants.
