UNEP FI, established in 1992, has been a key player in integrating sustainability into finance, coining ESG and responsible investment principles. Over the past five years, UNEP FI has driven significant progress, including the launch of the UN Principles for Responsible Banking and the Net-Zero Asset Owner Alliance. With 350 banks and over $50 trillion in assets, these initiatives align finance with climate goals. UNEP FI is also advancing adaptation, nature-positive finance, and social issues, aiming to change finance and finance change globally.
