<p dir="ltr">Colombia is at the halfway point in implementing its <a href="https://peaceaccords.nd.edu/barometer" target="_blank"><u>2016 peace accord</u></a>, however, it is clear there are serious challenges in achieving the goals established to guarantee the rights of ethnic peoples in the peace process.</p><p dir="ltr">Lasting peace in Colombia requires understanding and addressing the different and disproportionate impacts of the armed conflict on ethnic peoples and communities. A new report from the <a href="https://peaceaccords.nd.edu/" target="_blank"><u>Peace Accords Matrix</u></a> (PAM), part of the <a href="https://keough.nd.edu/" target="_blank"><u>Keough School of Global Affairs</u></a>’ <a href="https://kroc.nd.edu/" target="_blank"><u>Kroc Institute for International Peace Studies</u></a>, outlines the limitations and weaknesses, as well as progress and successes, of implementing the Ethnic Approach’s commitments within the Colombian context. </p><p><br></p>
