Lasting peace in Colombia requires understanding and addressing the differentiated and disproportionate impacts of the armed conflict on indigenous peoples, Afrodescendant communities, and the Roma population. Now that Colombia is past the halfway point in implementing its peace accord, it is clear there are serious challenges in achieving the goals established for guaranteeing the rights of ethnic peoples in the peace process.
