A Rhetoric of Suspension: Rethinking Salvation in the <em>Commedia</em>

<p>My thesis attends to the relationship<em> </em>between Dante's reflection on salvation and the rhetorical development of the term <em>sospeso </em>throughout the <em>Commedia</em>. In their coming together, I offer that we discern a more profound realization of what it might mean for humanity to participate fully in the mystery of salvation.</p>
