In a lecture in 1961, philosopher Martin Heidegger answered the question: how does one recover one’s authenticity? He responds: spend more time in the graveyard. In the modern world, death is hidden from daily life, hidden in the hospital or morgue or some remote graveyard. Death is abstract and alienated from us; many people never face death until their deathbed. This proposal aims to create a cemetery for people to spend more time in there.
