This thesis represents a design solution for what is commonly known as a company town, a community built around a single industry or company, and to develop urban planning and architectural solutions that could realistically be implemented to improve the lives and conditions of people in developing countries. In order to accomplish this goal I have prepared the following chapters to explain both the current problems and potential solutions involving Haiti, company towns, urban planning, and architecture.
