Scientific Research tend to be isolated from local communities whose participation is crucial for the recovery and preservation of the Maya Biosphere. It is important to promote the interaction between the international researchers and local communities. The application and understanding of Vernacular Architecture and its use of local materials, interaction with nature and solutions to weather conditions can give the most refined solutions to an architectural project and provide a sustainable model which encourages the understanding of the correct use of forested land. In the dry forest region of Guatemala, outdoor space is integral and fundamental in the application of an architectural project, it organizes the program.
