The results of the analysis of the Higgs boson decaying into two photons with the 2016 CMS dataset are described. The analysis isperformed using the dataset recorded by the CMS experiment at the LHC from pp collisions at center-of-mass energies of 13 TeVcorresponding to an integrated luminosity of 35.9/fb. Events were classified to maximize signal efficiency and to study gluon fusion, vector boson fusion, vector boson associated production, and top fusion Higgs boson production modes. The observed significance at mH= 125.09 GeV is 1.16+-0.15 times the standard model expectation. Signal strengths for the different Higgs boson production modes, coupling modifiers to bosons and fermions, and effective couplings to photons and gluons are also presented.
