Housing should not be segregated by economic bracket, and affordable housing should not sacrifice elevated, socially conscious design. Furthermore, new housing developments should respond to and embrace a city’s local and historic architectural character, as it is a reflection of a community’s identity and evokes a sense of place and belonging.
