A search for the standard model Higgs boson produced in association with a top quark pair is presented. The search is performed using data collected by the Compact Muon Solenoid experiment at the Large Hadron Collider during 2012. The data represents proton-proton collisions at a center of mass energy √s = 8 TeV, and corresponds to a total integrated luminosity of 19.5 fb−1. This search considers the final state in which H decays to a bottom quark pair and the top pair decays fully leptonically. Selected events are divided into different categories based on the number of jets and the number of b-tagged jets. A multivariate technique is used to extract the amount of signal in the data. All the relevant systematic uncertainties are taken into account. No excess is observed above the background expectations and upper limits on the cross section times branching ratio are set.
