We Don't Bury the Sick

We Don't Bury the Sick is a poetry collection that explores the materiality of toxic infrastructure of the carbon industry, level of environmental devastation, neocolonial exploitation and their impact on the vulnerable communities of the Niger Delta. Divided into four sections, the work seeks to uncover the environmental and social inequities that have define the region from the colonial era to the present, despite its enormous wealth of resources.
