<em>Lawthy</em>

<p>This thesis includes the beginning excerpt from the novel <i>Lawthy</i>, and then a chapbook length set of micro prose titled <i>Sad Sad</i>. The narrative of <i>Lawthy</i> moves with the approach of a hurricane in a southern city space. <i>Sad Sad</i> follows a woman who experiences a duplicity of self in the form of either human or raptor.</p>
