The Badin Bible, a 1790 Mathew Carey Douay-Rheims Bible in English published in Philadelphia, was acquired by the Special Collections department of the Hesburgh Libraries in July 2014. The Bible was likely a gift from Bishop John Carroll to Stephen Badin on the occasion of his ordination to the priesthood in 1793.
