    The church was built beside the wall gate of the old town, opposite the original city hall, which no longer exists. The oldest parts are Mudéjar-Gothic style; but was renovated several times. The present building dates from the 16th century, with alterations in the 18th century. It has a rectangular plan with a wide nave and another lateral aisle and an attached bell tower.     Listed as a historic monument in 1914. The church has three naves covered by wooden vaults with tie-beams. On the south porch, there is an exterior font is located on the short wall next to the two doors. It sits near the large Morlaix railway viaduct, connecting the Paris-Brest line.

    The smallest of the twelve Romanesque-era churches left in Cologne, and the only one built as a parish church. The exterior is plastered and painted (currently a rose or blush-pink color). It has Romanesque carvings on its west door and Romanesque murals on the ceiling, which are unique to the area. It was the only church not to sustain damage in WWII.
