    Understanding the environmental justice implications of the mortality impacts of air pollution exposure is a public health priority, as some subpopulations may face a disproportionate health burden.     In January 2020, the EPA plans to issue a supplement to its 2018 proposed rule, Strengthening Transparency in Regulatory Science. The revised rule may prohibit the EPA from using any research for which underlying raw data and models are not made public. In the December 6, 2019 issue of Science, Dr. Marie Lynn Miranda, Director of CEHI, provided explanation of why such a rule would jeopardize regulations that aim to keep the environment a safe place for all of us to live.

    We created a dataset - the Lifetime From Intensity (LFI) dataset - that is dedicated to estimate the lifetime from intensity images. The dataset consists of 156 real fluorescence microscopy images obtained with custom-built two-photon microscope and representative biological zebrafish samples. We use 140 images for training and 16 images for testing. These images are captured with 2 different excitation wavelengths (800 and 920 nm) and different power levels (5 mW and 8 mW).

    We created a dataset - the Fluorescence Microscopy Denoising (FMD) dataset - that is dedicated to Poisson-Gaussian denoising. The dataset consists of 12,000 real fluorescence microscopy images obtained with commercial confocal, two-photon, and wide-field microscopes and representative biological samples such as BPAE cells, zebrafish, and mouse brain tissues. We use image averaging to effectively obtain ground truth images and 60,000 noisy images with different noise levels.
