Thermal and Mass Transport at Hard/Soft Material Interfaces

Doctoral Dissertation


This dissertation discusses my research in understanding the thermal and mass transport at hard/soft material interfaces as the overarching goal. It provides a comprehensive understanding of a variety of possible strategies to achieve this goal from solid-water interfacial thermal conductance, water slip behavior at the solid interface, hot gold nanoparticle Brownian motion.
