#ShowHerstory is a design intervention that consists of a multifaceted campaign which uses advocacy channels and guerilla marketing tactics to stir conversations about the limited portrayals of Pakistani women in local TV series. In this thesis, I will deconstruct the stereotypes of women that dominate contemporary Pakistani TV series. I will also discuss the origins of these stereotypes and their effects on young Pakistani women. The thesis will also reflect on the importance and the need for this design intervention and what role it might play in a larger feminist discourse in Pakistan.
